Salesforce Lead Assignment

If you have not yet completed the Salesforce Setup & Lead Creation step, please do so before following this tutorial. 

 

1. Make a new Zap

 

2. Choose Dotsignal as your starting point

 

3. Choose Trigger Event - Lead Assigned

 

4. Test & Continue to bring in sample data

 

5. Choose Salesforce as your target Zap

 

6. Choose Action Event - Find a Lead

 

7. Search for Lead by Phone Number

 

8. Add a new Salesforce Event

 

9. Choose Action Event - Find a Custom Object 

 

10. Search for Custom Object (User) by Email address

 

11. Add a new Salesforce Event

 

12. Choose Action Event - Update Lead

 

13. Customize Lead - Use a Custom Value - Search by output of Find a Lead

 

 

14. Assign Lead owner - Use a Custom Value - Search by output of Find a Custom Object

 

 

15. Test & Continue - Update sample lead

 

16. Confirm the sample lead has been updated in your Salesforce account

 

17. Turn on your new Zap
